In addition to a natural coral reef that is home to hundreds of species of fish, the location also has the largest contiguous man made reef ball reef in The Bahamas. Angelfish, sea turtles, damselfish, parrotfish, squirrelfish and snapper are just some of the regular residents who inhabit the area. All snorkel gear is provided on site and the professionally trained staff sizes each customer individually with the proper gear to ensure the most enjoyable experience.

Another activity option at Paradise Cove is kayaking. Rentals and instruction are available with everything you need to cruise the beautiful aqua waters at your own pace. Kayaking offers a unique experience that gives you an opportunity to venture out in the calm seas that surround the area that are home to some of the most beautiful corals and aquatic life in the northern Bahamas. Let the experience take you back to the days when the indigenous people of Grand Bahama, the Lucayan Indians, kayaked these same peaceful waters to travel to their favorite fishing spot or coasted through the serene sea to relax on a warm lazy day.

Spearfishing is a popular sport here in The Bahamas, You will see hog fish, snapper, and grouper on many of the reefs. For all divers, you must follow the guidelines when spearing fish you don’t need to have your gear we will supply the snorkel equipment and pole spear or hawaiian sling for our weapons of choice.
Our guide diver is FII PFI certified and has been hunting since he was 8 years old, he will go for a quick briefing before heading out to the ocean on the boat, depending your skill levels we will pick a reef and start at a comfortable depth.

Freediver Course

  • Basic static apnea development (breath hold) of 1:30 at a minimum.
  • Dynamic Apnea development (under water swimming) of 25m / 82’
  • 3 days in length (optional 4 day if wanted or needed)
  • 2 classroom sessions (2 @ 3 hours each)
  • 2 confined water sessions (2 @ 3.5 hours each)
  • 1 open water session ( min of 3.5 hours )
