A True Paradise We have snorkeled at Paradise Cove twice and plan to return next time in port. We love this place! Barry and his crew cater to your every needs. They work very hard to keep you safe and they keep an eye out for you when the tides are changing. Bring your underwater camera as there are fish galore!

“Truly a snorkeling Paradise!” Took a cruise to Bahamas and first port of call was Freeport. Snorkeling excursion to Paradise Cove was amazing! 20 minute cab ride from port. Very secluded beach. Saw just two other couples all day. Spent the day snorkeling in shallow, crystal clear, calm water in a protected cove. Lots of coral, tropical fish, and sunshine. Beautiful white sand beach. Beers on the deck after and then back to the ship. This spot is truly paradise. I highly recommend it!

“Home Away from Home” My husband and I stayed at the Paradise Cove Beach Resort near Freeport, on Grand Bahama Island, on 1/29 and 1/30 2014. Although the weather was lousy, we had a fantastic time with Barry Smith and his staff. Barry took us snorkeling and waited on us hand and foot. The villa was perfect in every way. It was spacious, well decorated, and right on the sand. The food at the Red Bar was fantastic and ridiculously affordable. ($3.00 hamburgers.) Barry is in the middle of a reef improvement project, working with marine biologists and other experts. This place is just going to get better and better.

“Cruise excursion” While our ship was in port we decided to go out on our own and booked a snorkeling trip through their website. The ride was fine, but the beach was beautiful! So nice!!! We saw two rays and tons of fish! The conch fritters were fabulous and I enjoyed a bahama mamma! We aren't avid snorkelers so someone who does it frequently might have a different opinion, but it was a perfect afternoon for us. The staff was nice, and we were able to leave and head back to the ship exactly when we wanted to.

“We could have stayed forever! ” My husband and booked this months in advance after reading all the amazing reviews. We talked some friends of ours into going with us too after telling them how great it sounded. Once we arrived in Freeport the check in point was very easy to find. We only waited about 15 minutes for everyone and then we were on our way. Our driver was very friendly and informative. It's about a 20 minute drive, but definitely worth it. When we got to paradise cove we paid, listened to our instructor tell us the dos and don'ts, and then we were off. The water was perfect. We immediately saw 2 sea turtles and countless fish. We lasted about 2 hrs total and then grabbed a bite to eat. The food was very reasonably priced and the even have local beer. All in all, there isn't one bad thing I could say about this place. My husband even asked if they were hiring! Lol if you are going to Freeport do NOT waste your money going somewhere else! Great for kids and adults!

“Heaven on Earth!!” My mom and I took a cruise to the Bahamas and decided to check out Paradise Cove after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. The reviews did not disappoint, this place was a slice of heaven on earth! It is about a 30 min bus ride to the resort. It is not a fancy place, but it is off the beaten path away from the crowds. Great price, good food, and amazing view. We skipped the snorkeling and rented chairs and laid on the beach all day because we are not big on snorkeling. The owner (Barry) was super friendly and even delivered us drinks when the line was really long. Beware: the drinks are strong! I can't say enough nice things about Barry. He personally went around picking up trash and making sure all of his guests were happy. A few tips: the water is rocky and the rocks are VERY slippery so bring some water shoes! Also, book through deadmansreef.com and arrange for them to pick you up at the cruise terminal because it is much cheaper than taking a taxi. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in Freeport, Paradise Cove is a must!!
